Hey, we got word from out IT Dept that browsing non-tech sites while at work is a level one offense - which I've been doing at work oh, yay me! ^^; I'll be lying low for a while - or trying to catch a minute or two in our ever crowded lounge to check on my mail but that just means I'll be able to ignore the brouhaha or anything that may explode on lj. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I DID save a copy of the Death Games Chapter 3 draft in a folder containing my personal notes for my calls, and I do edits on it now and then. Go go me?

Recent book purchases: Red Giants and White Dwarfs by Robert Jastrow (astronomy primer), Peace Breaks Out by John Knowles (aka the sequel of the comeback of Devon School), The Revenge of Moriarty by John Gardner (I'll tell you if it's interesting imouto!) and Lucy: The Beginnings of Humankind by Donald Johanson and Maitland Edey. I went to Booksale alone and ended up spending the money for my planned hair highlights? ^_^; I'm still having highlights done tomorrow, so, reddish brown streaks next time we meet?

I am also thinking of going back there and getting Dune Messiah and the primer on Egyptian mythology since they're just - 75 pesos total. That's ignoring that I saw two or three of the Cat Who books from Lilian Jackson Braun. C-crowding our bookshelves much?

The last batch of book purchases that I never mentioned here were: The Strange Case of the Walking Corpse (strange but true facts about medicine!), Oscar Wilde's Five Major Plays, Child and Society (a psychology book), Harry Potter Book 3 (YAY!), Tha Tarot Reader which is apparently a companion book for something else, a book about native American mythology, Street Weaponry (handy guides on how to come up with makeshift weapons), and Frommer's 4th Edition Tokyo. I'm hunting the last set of purchases down because I just know they're somewhere IN the house, just not WHERE.

Someone tell me I should just get a new bookcase to stuff these all in! D=
