So uh. It's the Q4 cosplay season as always. Though Anicon was unfortunately moved with no ETA, there's still the United Nations Hetalia day on the 24th, the Masquerade on the 31st, and Mangaholix on November 7th. That actually gives me more time to finish outfits for osmalic, and wunder if I get the right pattern for Children's day Japan. Osmalic's dress is nearly done - I just have to have her test it, fix the hems and stuff, then I can move on to the kimono and hakama combo.
Work is hectic with the start of the new quarter. The Powers that Be have changed our metrics yet again to focus on sales and transfers and all the ugly time consuming things. I'm not happy about it at all! Selling stuff to frustrated customers with problems on their computers is not my strong point, though I think that I managed to keep up after being scolded every coaching session with my supervisor. =_= Must. Work. Hard! That way I can move over to the next level and just apply for a different position - or maybe it's time for a career change? -_-;;;
My supervisor declined an auditing position for me last week - I'm still of two minds about that because yes, I don't want to go through hundreds of logs every single day but, but, I don't want to sell stuff too! =(
BG round 008 is over! Um, I'm surprised no one guessed me considering a. my history in bg, and b. anyone in chat by the deadline found me panicking over the deadline because my fic was unfinished. Anyway, this is Ito with one of the unfinished stories in this round, "Search in each of your tomorrows".
I had a couple of ideas revolving around the clichés this round - I posted the beginning of one of them in a previous post - but I wanted to make Sai follow Touya along. I made a mistake in thinking Hikaru as a soccer player was part of the cliché list. (I'm smart that way!) which is funny because I copy-pasted the list and sent it to my office email. >_> Well, I was nearly done with the first part, and there were still a couple of clichés in the story, so I went through with the rest.
The title is paraphrased from the song Hanafubuki by Acid. Even with the story being Touya-centric, the whole story would not work if Sai was not a ghost. I think the lyrics pretty much explains what I think Sai and Hikaru feels about their separation. Quick title was made quickly in the last two, three minutes before the deadline. So, so sorry to anyone who had to go "And next? What's next?!" I write it at work, and it really depends on whether we have free time or if I'm stuck on a long diagnostic. Does anyone have concrit for it? I think it needs lots of work, but then I always feel that way for anything I write.
