Thank you for all the messages of concern, I'm feeling better now. What we thought was measles was just a sort of rash because of the heat. What I did have was a combination of high fever, UTI and mild pneumonia. (Okay, so maybe that wasn't reassuring. ^^;v) The fever was the really bad part - I'd had high fever for five days before I agreed to be checked into the hospital because I thought it would go away. ^^; Nevertheless after a couple of days' confinement and IV and really weird stuff, I'm fine, and even went to work last night. I kinda felt bad for the people who took up the slack for last week, so I treated them to Starbucks when I saw them. Right now I'm just fixing up the paperwork for the hospitalization and drinking meds for whatever is left in my system.

Blind Go Panic mode has set in, because there's less than twenty-four hours left, and I've yet to submit. ^^; I'll be lurking in chat tonight while I wait for entries. ^_^;

I'm setting myself up for some trouble, ain't I? I'm trying to finish "In search of your tomorrows" which is the Hikaru is an unlucky soccer player fic (just a little bit more and it'll be done!), and the Erlkonig fic.
   
• I just finished a sentence scan for the drafts of Death Games chapter 3 – at least the drafts I have at work. I have no doubt I have multiple drafts at home of the same chapter, so I’ll have to bring this particular draft for yet another sentence comparison with those. ^^; I realized there was a scene shift and characterization mistake for Sentarou, so I’ll have to think of a way to make it work. I’m also trying to find the references I had for Interlude, because I need the translations for Takesato’s story. Actually, I just need a lot of references to update it.
   
• Something totally unrelated to writing: I keep falling asleep at work!

Currently finishing on the graphics for winners of blind_go. One of the Shindou art I was trying was more suitable for a header than a banner, so hostilecrayon got a layout xD; Speaking of Lish and fluffeh:

Touya wasn't sure what to say when Shindou brought out his present. It was unexpected, and an immensely suitable for a Go pro, but no doubt the bakery shop Shindou had commissioned this cake from knew that they were nerds for Go.

"So what'cha think? It's great, isn't it?" Shindou proudly took off the lids from the chocolate go-ke, and motioned for Touya to sit across him. The edible goban with black and white fondant pieces was 13x13, and, as Shindou said, was a chocolate cake with a minty mallow filling.

"Don't tell me they're actually functional."

"Sure are. We have to stay in here with the air conditioning and all, but otherwise it works. Come on, you know you want to."

Touya shrugged, and grabbed a handful of the white pieces for nigiri.

I got distracted by changing the layout here on lj - I was tired of the default blue smooth sailing I was using, so here's a tweaked layout based on one at fruitstyle. I love the layouts they make there, and I didn't realize I've spent over an hour creating the banner and tweaking the colors. :|

Anyway, please don't forget that blind go's mini-round: All or Nothing went off without a hitch! All the fics can be found at answer_key and I'll be posting my own guessing post on 5_in_binary. I'm shocked - SHOCKED I tell you - that Ver hasn't guessed me yet. :)

A quick post to assure you all that I'm still alive, and rather pleased by my computer upgrade. I've finally retired Figaro after eight long years of support, and now my desktop, aptly named Edgar, is taking the brunt of the downloading/browsing/art-making workload. I've only gone through a tenth of its one terabyte HDD, and I'm crossing my fingers it won't take me less than six months to run out of space. Which is entirely possible, you know! :D
