Organizing files: HikaGo drabbles

Since I've been sorting my books, I decided to sort my fics as well, and found some drabbles I don't recall writing. Mainly HikaGo related, so they must've been made for blind_go chat?

"This is ridiculous!" Waya exclaimed, tossing down the 'reference material' Shindou helpfully handed over once he found out what state their relationship was in. Waya was still wondering why Shindou brought his stash on an Ooteai day, but thought better not to ask.

"W-what?" Isumi asked, still dazed as he read through an instance of auto-fellatio. Waya thought how much it was worth it to just see Isumi wide-eyed and flushed at the vision of two men fucking, but still, he couldn't stand it.

"Why is the short one always uke?!" he demanded harshly, pinning Isumi down. "I'll have you know, Isumi, that whenever I think of you I can't help but imagine you under me, letting me pound you down the mattress and you begging me to let you come?"

Isumi whimpered, as one of Waya's hand slid down to where Isumi's cock pressed tightly into his jeans. "Do you want me to prove that short men can top too, Isumi?"

"Yes," He gasped.

"Did the dirty talk work?"

He flashed Shindou a V sign. "Victory!"

Isumi hid his face as Waya gleefully recounted how it turned out to the attentive Shindou.

"No, you can never say that attaching from above is the appropriate move when it's obvious there's no way you'll get more territory from the lower left." Ochi tries to keep the exasperation out of his voice, but how could he not be pissed off when Yashiro's play feels like a challenge to everything he knew of the game they both loved?

"Why is it you can't see how it can be if you think of the solution a little bit differently?" Yashiro is unrepentant, and his callous inability to see what is so obvious stung. Ochi breathes deep, calming down before he strikes. The other pros have inched their way out of Waya's apartment, ostensibly to have coffee or take a break, but the last match Ochi fought versus the Kansai player go boards had struck and crashed through the window, and they don't want to be play witness to who's at fault this time.

"You can't win by being unconventional all the time! Sometimes you have to try being normal. Something you obviously find challenging!"

Yashiro's eyes narrow dangerously.

Ochi likes arguing with Yashiro like this, waiting till the other one snaps and does something unexpected. He tingles with anticipation, since he wants - no, he needs to know what where this passion comes from. Shindou, Yashiro, they must have something going for them to be able to burn with a love for the game so much! He wants to know how they do it, and he keeps fighting to find its source. He bends forward, waiting for Yashiro's retort.

And it strikes, fresh and unexpected and then Ochi is stunned by how easy it was to let Yashiro steal his first kiss, how his lips open immediately to let the other boy kiss him deeper. Yashiro pulls back, grinning.

"Sometimes being unconventional is more fun."

There are many Morishita to the people of go world. To the amateurs, he was an unreachable idol, always patient while playing shidougo. To his students, he was a supportive and reliable mentor. To his opponents, he was to be feared. And to his equals he was a notable rival and occasional drinking partner after games. That was how relationships went in the go world, with differing levels of camaraderie.

But to Shigeko, he is merely grandfather, who'd fall asleep by the goban. And they'd laugh quietly as they drape him with a blanket, to keep him from getting cold.

It started snowing just as they were about to leave the go institute. Adachi tsked and frowned as Waya and the rest cheered and risked pneumonia walking in the cold.

"Do you have anything, Nase?"

"I'll do with my coat, don't worry."

"Here." Iijima was not looking at her as he extended his scarf to her. He ran after the rest.

Nase smiled, then laughed, while Adachi stared at her like she was going crazy.

"What was that about?"

Naze shook her head, thinking how funny it would have been had Iijima's red ears been against his dark green scarf.

Title: study session
Series: Hikaru no Go
Character: Touya Kouyo, YangHai
Summary: They met in Shenzhen and now Touya Kouyo invites YangHai and the other Chinese pros to a haya-go tournament

"Just a shame, all of it with Korea winning when Japan did so well."

"Time to study the kifu, it's already available online, isn't it?"

"Geez, this is depressing." Waya finally spoke up over the babble of the crowd exiting with them. "Shindou's gonna be hell to get along with for weeks now. Isumi, let's go to my place and study the kifu with the other insei, I can call Nase and she'll get the rest."

"Yes. We can stop by the combini, or maybe pizza?"

"Pizza sounds good. Hey, the Chinese coach is calling you." Waya frowned, pointing a thumb behind them. "Can you tell him to stop calling my LePing?"

Isumi turned. YangHai was signalling for them over the crowd, smirking a little bit when he saw Waya's expression. Isumi gave a quiet, "Excuse me," and hurried over to the other man.

"Ah. YangHai-san."

"I'm going to take a few minutes of your time, Isumi-kun. LePing senior doesn't seem happy."

"Waya just isn't happy about being called LePing in public."

"Uho. I just needed directions, and it would be good if you can come along?"

"Directions to where, YangHai-san?"

YangHai grinned. "A very special post-Cup study session."

"So this is the Meijin's go salon?" YangHai was pleased by the atmosphere of the go salon, which was very restful. The regulars were in awe at seeing the pros by the door, and it was getting to be uncomfortable to be the subject of so many stares.

"It must be, Shindou-kun gave me the directions."

"It was a good thing Touya was also there to correct them, or else we'd never get here." Le Ping senior - YangHai really should remember to call him 'Waya' - had been grumpy all the way as he'd studied the sheet of paper YangHai gave them. "And what is this haya-go tournament you're telling us about, YangHai-san?"

"It was something the Meijin suggested while we were in the waiting room."

"Isumi-kun and YangHai-san! Welcome, we've been waiting." A cheerful Touya student was there to lead them to their reserved area. As Ashiwara chatted with them about go and the upcoming tournament, ChaoShii tugged at Isumi's sleeve. Isumi bent down to listen to his whispered request.

"Introduce me to Shindou and Touya. I want to play against them." ChaoShii was flushed as he shyly glanced at the the two, who were arguing hotly over a contested play. Waya had left them to see what that was all about.

"That'll be easy enough."

"Good afternoon." The Meijin left his place by his son's table to greet them.

"You've already begun without us?"

"Just a few warmup games. You have to go to Seiji-kun if you want to play haya-go," he told Isumi, and they were soon left alone.

YangHai had always heard of the great Touya Kouyo, seen his kifu and pictures splashed all over the internet, in the news and he always looked so stern in his photographs.

The reality was the man was very quiet and soft-spoken, except when he was in front of the go board, and then he was a force to be reckoned with. The net go world had certainly gotten interesting since the Meijin joined in, and somehow YangHai had wrangled an opportunity to play with him regularly online.

"This is all very pleasant." YangHai said, sitting down by one of the many tables in the room as his companions passed around the clipboard from Ogata. "Is this how study groups are normally held?"

"Not really, but everyone's been rather down since the Hokuto Cup. Seiji-kun suggested some haya-go should cheer the younger pros before we discuss the games."

"I'd like to hear what you thought of the game between Korea's YongHa and your Shindou, really."

"I'd like to hear what you thought of it as well, sensei." Ogata loomed by their table, and the Meijin smiled.

"We have time enough later to talk about that."

"You're not playing, Ogata?"

"Someone has to babysit the young ones with Ashiwara. Do you want to join them too?" He dangled the clipboard before them.

"I'd rather pass on the tournament, thank you. I can always play with them later."

When the other man finally left them, YangHai commented, "Ogata-san never struck me as the mothering type when I play against him online."

"I've no doubt he just wants to gauge the younger set's abilities up close. Since we won't be able to play our regular net go, YangHai, shouldn't we take this opportunity to play together?"

"This should be fun. I've yet to repay you for the game last time we faced each other before the board."

Touya Kouyo chuckled as he got one of the bowls off the board. "That was a good time, wasn't it?"

"It may be for you and the rest of the Beijing team, with your winning streak. Let's begin."

"You enjoyed the farewell banquet as much as the winners, I recall."

"I embarrassed myself terribly, you mean." YangHai laid out the beginnings of his shape on the board. "I would never understand why you all form small groups for study sessions. Isn't it much more pleasant to play together?"

Im Ilhwan turned when he heard that. "YangHai says that, but aren't you the one who's always in front of your computer?"

"Hey!" YangHai frowned at him fiercely as the other Chinese pros laughed. "It's just that I get to play more interesting games online. Sometimes games against pros can be so predictable."

"Pros like to play safely within their limits, of course. Players over the net are more adventurous since they don't always know who they're playing against."

"You could be playing against two or three people discussing their moves for all we know or against a ghost."

"There are no such thing as a ghost playing go online."

"Some of them are as elusive as ghosts, then. Maybe next time we'll get a chance to see Sai play. Especially against you, Meijin."

The lull as they got serious in their game got broken by Shindou standing up and shouting at his opponent. "Stop muttering there I know you think my move's bad but just wait till we reach yose!"

"You won't reach yose at the rate you're playing," Ilhwan muttered, and Akira tried to get Shindou to sit down again.

"Shindou, everyone's looking this way."

"Just focus on your games and let me play mine!"

"It is different to see such a lively atmosphere here."

"It must be because Shindou-kun's game with Im Ilhwan is getting more heated." YangHai thoughtfully tapped at his bowl. "They won't stop anytime soon."

"I'm just glad Akira met Shindou-kun and all the other insei. He used to be such a quiet little adult."

"Isumi told me that insei classes used to be so quiet before Shindou appeared."

"Everywhere he goes becomes lively. Ah, Seiji-kun will deal with this."

"Akira-kun, really now, his move there was pitiful." Ogata was looking at the board. Shindou glared at the older pro.

"WHAT?!"

"Well, you didn't have to say it that bluntly, Ogata-san."

"I can't believe you agree with him, Touya!"

"And you said he will deal with it?" It was YangHai's turn to chuckle. "I guess there's some reason why large study groups like these won't be practical."

"Let's postpone this game so we can supervise them properly, why don't we?"

"Let's do that. We could always continue this over the net anyway." YangHai pushed back his chair. "You deal with your side, I deal with Ilhwan?"

"Of course."
