I just had to write it as fluffeh. Because fluffy is not enough. It has to be fluffeh~ /that was the drowsiness talking.


marshmallow fondant.

Currently finishing on the graphics for winners of blind_go. One of the Shindou art I was trying was more suitable for a header than a banner, so hostilecrayon got a layout xD; Speaking of Lish and fluffeh:

Touya wasn't sure what to say when Shindou brought out his present. It was unexpected, and an immensely suitable for a Go pro, but no doubt the bakery shop Shindou had commissioned this cake from knew that they were nerds for Go.

"So what'cha think? It's great, isn't it?" Shindou proudly took off the lids from the chocolate go-ke, and motioned for Touya to sit across him. The edible goban with black and white fondant pieces was 13x13, and, as Shindou said, was a chocolate cake with a minty mallow filling.

"Don't tell me they're actually functional."

"Sure are. We have to stay in here with the air conditioning and all, but otherwise it works. Come on, you know you want to."

Touya shrugged, and grabbed a handful of the white pieces for nigiri.

Thank you! The fondant tends to harden if stored too long though, which was annoying when I had to make a new batch for mom's birthday cake >_>

The recipe did give a warning about the shelf life of the fondant. If iI'd checked on it every couple of days to moisten the fondant it might have lasted longer though.

i imagine that this is one of the few times touya will be happy hikaru brought home sweets. talk about playing with your food! adorable.

Thanks! It's a joint project with my sister - she made the cupcakes, I made the decorations, and the kitchen was a mess when I was done - powdered sugar and butter everywhere! ^^;

The Snupin is the odd man out in this post, I realized. >_>

It is definitely full of marshmallow-y goodness. Too bad the fondant turns hard if stored too long - I wasted around half a pound of the stuff! They're still edible though, so it's like eating really tough marshmallows. :)
