Photoshop screentoning practice, and my head burst open.
Like a flower blooming. Saiyuki andf Zenki on terrestrial, with nary a sign of my beloved St Seiya in sight. It's a conspiracy, I tell you.
And goodness, I forgot about the things that makes Zenki seem like a sanitized H series. XD

The LO doujin contest requires digital screentones, so I busied myself the other day to fetch some all over the place. The ones I used were from this page. this just made me go "gyah" at the difficulties - I draw very messily, so laying down the tones on PS7 meant hell.
The very first one was merely an experiment in darkness intensity. I didn't like the way the edges were very straight and true. ^^;
So I tried to soften it up by feathering the edges and pasting many layers together. You can compare it with the earlier version I posted.
And of course I couldn't resist Kalven.
But by this time I was lazy with the select area/paste pattern routine, and didn't bother to do much gradiation.
And for some Seika fun. ^_^ It's Yukino showing up during the grand Seika get-together three or so years after we all first met. And basically the script goes:
Yukino: Sorry I'm late.
Yumeko: Yukino!
Yukino: Ah!
Yukino: Congratulations on the engagement, Zhyn.
Zhyn: WE ARE NOT ENGAGED!

Yumeko: I thought she should know.
Kalven: Ah, yes, she finally got me to say yes.
Hikaru: I thought this was a serious meeting.
Haruko: Oh, look, Irah, she's denying it!
Irah: Nyaa!
By chance I stumbled upon this. Please look at Paper Eleven, and agree with me that I should never ever draw again against such greatness. *sighs*

Paper Eleven reminded me of the art from Sky High, in some indefinable way. O_o I wouldn't mind getting the compilation instead of a cash fee for some job if I get the option. XD
