Thank you for all the messages of concern, I'm feeling better now. What we thought was measles was just a sort of rash because of the heat. What I did have was a combination of high fever, UTI and mild pneumonia. (Okay, so maybe that wasn't reassuring. ^^;v) The fever was the really bad part - I'd had high fever for five days before I agreed to be checked into the hospital because I thought it would go away. ^^; Nevertheless after a couple of days' confinement and IV and really weird stuff, I'm fine, and even went to work last night. I kinda felt bad for the people who took up the slack for last week, so I treated them to Starbucks when I saw them. Right now I'm just fixing up the paperwork for the hospitalization and drinking meds for whatever is left in my system.

Blind Go Panic mode has set in, because there's less than twenty-four hours left, and I've yet to submit. ^^; I'll be lurking in chat tonight while I wait for entries. ^_^;

In more light-hearted news: Signups for blind_go round 11 are up.

I got distracted by changing the layout here on lj - I was tired of the default blue smooth sailing I was using, so here's a tweaked layout based on one at fruitstyle. I love the layouts they make there, and I didn't realize I've spent over an hour creating the banner and tweaking the colors. :|

Anyway, please don't forget that blind go's mini-round: All or Nothing went off without a hitch! All the fics can be found at answer_key and I'll be posting my own guessing post on 5_in_binary. I'm shocked - SHOCKED I tell you - that Ver hasn't guessed me yet. :)

I wouldn't want to bore you but suffice to say work tops me, and I'm still facepalming over the utter stupidity of some people who call in for help and how the agents deal with it. It doesn't help that except for the back-to-school rush, this is around the time when technologically challenged customers call in for help with things that are in the manual. I'm just glad I'm free from the cycle and am just rating these calls. ^_^

Surprisingly enough, I feel energetic. Usually the first three months of the year is the period where I basically hibernate, but I have a couple of resolutions this year, and I can' wait to get started. One is I should learn to drive this year, which is a carryover from last year's vague plans. The other is to finish fandom stuff that I've promised to finish/never continued from previous years. That list is long, but I'm going through notes and revising things, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll get around 30% of these things done by the end of the year :D

I'm still resizing and sorting the pictures I took for this year's Hetalia Day. :) Kinda tired because I've been awake since 7 am so I'm trying to psych myself up for the monstrous edits. Fortunately I think only a few dozen or so of the selected pictures will need sharpening/leveling/color contrast to make them look better, because the weather turned out fine for the most part. Well, except for that bit of drizzle during the flash mob practice. ^_^ If you were there I was the Austria with a gilbird and you didn't say "Oh hai thar!" you are evil!

Quick update is quick: I’ve been offline for a while because of ye postcarde projecte which I’ve been working on off and on between evaluations. I’m buying fixative tomorrow so I won’t have to ink the drawing, because my inking is terrible. ^_^ I’m almost done with the work for the week, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed I can get some additional things done before I rest up.

We’re currently expecting a storm to hit the city this weekend (better this weekend than the next O_O) and there are fears it would be just like last year’s Ondoy. I’m praying it won’t be, because Ondoy was a disaster.

Snacking in Starbucks The new (?) crème brulee macchiato isn’t that sweet, which is good, because I needed something hot but anything sweet would be too cloying. My throat’s feeling weird, and I had a bit of trouble eating the lemon poppy seed muffin I bought with the coffee. The muffin was very delicious though! I wouldn’t mind having more of those again.

Fabulous, I can see the ending! I've added Stardriver to the anime I'm watching this fall, if only because I died laughing at the crazy and magical boy transformation. So my anime watching line up is Kaminomi, Yakumo, Stardriver, and Panty and Stocking for the lulz. I forgot to download Otome Youkai Zakuro and Kuragehime to check them out.

On a random note I’m deciding what to wear for Hetalia Day in UP Diliman which is next weekend. Last year I went as Gakuen!Russia, but I have to go to Ongaku’s Luna Sea gig in the evening, so I’d rather wear something I can keep on wearing till night. I have the option of going as Children’s day Austria, but I’ll have to make a longer vest and fit the capris better. I could also go as that welcome screen!Austria from the Kitayume site, but that means I still have to make the vest. ^^; Lastly, there’s another vest!Austria I kinda like too. Decisions! Too bad I’m a third decanate Capricorn who often wibble among the choices. ^^; Any suggestions? Note that for any of these three options, I still need to make a vest. >_>

Apparently, my weekends will be hectic this month. Last weekend we went to Cosplaymania for both days and saw Jesuke in person~♥ This coming weekend I'll be going to see AD-kun and I'm wondering if I should dress up in casual!Kaito. >_> The cosplay competition is limited to students but - *shrugs*

I got so frazzled by the thought I'd be busy this month I made this as my wallpaper.



In other news: work has been surprisingly easy, but I'm expecting trouble come third week of the month. We'll be getting some new agents to evaluate by then, which is always troublesome because they're not used to the procedures and have long calls. It didn't help someone in IT accidentally deleted some of the files we need to submit reports and stuff. They're already trying to recover the files, but still it's a big annoyance :|

I spent way too much time resizing the brocade for the brim. :(

Also hee, Unconventional which is a Severus/Remus/Lily friendship fic about them meeting in a local Sci-Fi con. And it's all for me~♥
