First up: pimping some challenges.
Con season's starting in my country - or did it even end? I'm not sure - but the more interesting cons usually happens on the second half of the year. This picspam is of MetroComicon, which in itself acts like a preview to the goodness of the November Komikon.
This was just posted as the preview pic for fun. Because I want you to try guessing who this is before you see the answer under the cut.
One of the first booths we visited. They had a comic which required 3-d shades to read. A funky idea, though I wish there were more panels to look at.
Ah, Pinoy comics. When art was all manry with carrying captive women.
The poster for Maktan, which is based off the historical battle of Mactan. One of my sister's friends later pointed out that Lapu-Lapu is kinda like Iruka. Cannot unsee. :|
My sister plus the people behind Maktan.
Maktan was made as a full-color thesis by the artist. It is gorgeous and makes me wish I can draw better. :D
Not a lot of cosplay, but then we went on Day 1, when the cosplay competition was for day 2. The few I managed to catch were:
Kaji and Misato from Eva.
Norway and Sweden.
Vocaloid's Kaito. Blue nail polish! :D
Finland, who was walking around without the two other Nordics.
Vocaloid's Kaiko.
I'm itching to make a Synchronicity!Kaito cosplay, except that if you're going to pull of Synchronicity you must at least have the Kagamine twins. :| But Kaito's two costumes are both awesome. I always see either the original clothes, or the sandplay of the dragon, or Black Rock Shooter. Sometimes I see Cantarella and Magnet - or rather Magnet headphones. *sighs* It's either this or a Kiyoteru dressup, but there are so few PVs involving Kiyoteru it's kinda sad.
...uh, right. Let me get back to commenting about the other photos.
Our new plushie, the taiko from Taiko no Tatsujin.
My haul. PoT, old shounen jump dj collective, and AustriaxHungary cellphone charms. Hungary is on my cellphone right now.
So is it wrong I bought that comic compilation for this shot of Kishimoto? IS IT? IS IT?!?!
The PoT keychain. Yes, I was a dork.
So. I have no idea what to do for Komikon this year, because I really want to cosplay, but I want to do a cool, not labor-intensive cosplay. We'll be doing Devil Survivor either for Cosmania (if Hao isn't part of the committee) or maybe we should do it for Komikon. Hmmm.
Random Severus drabble, with implied Severus => Lily. And it's exactly a hundred words! *shocked*
Severus pulls out a memory for his personal pensieve. Tinkling laughter heard one bright afternoon, disappearing into the muddy water.
Again.
Fire-bright hair and captivating eyes. It gets easier each time. Better to be bereft of joy than to suffer regrets.
Again.
Unlike so many people he keeps the bad memories in his head. He keeps them inside as reminders, like no, you'll never make that mistake again, Severus, or your foolish infatuation led to nowhere.
All gone. Now forever out of reach.
He sets his wand down and picks up the mask in its place. Now he is ready.
