Those pages are actually at the top of a set of book guides. If I was in the mood I'd translate them to English, but I'm a bit busy right now. O_o And my crack versions of their description (with help from

blue_cage And Maria Clara: Somehow, she has a backbone. O_o; Almost Mary Sue-ish, because she is likely based off Jose Rizal's ideal girl at that time, but she was willing to sacrifice self for her lover, and it comes with a terrible price.

osmalic: I actually agree that she's Mary Sue, but the one thing I admire about her was how she didn't faint, not once! XD

blue_cage mm, before I forget: Placido Penitente - The name says it all. Decides to join "The Cause" after much wangsty!UST with a UST prof. Unfortunately, fanon!Placido often goes ballistic, tearing at his shirt and begging that someone, anyone, get rid of his USTs. XD I like the Placido bit.

blue_cage XD oh right. Simoun: See Count of Monte Cristo for original. Edmond Dantes is a bit boring though, I think it's because Simoun did that I'm a head without a body routine in the Quiapo fair. Is actually Pika*pika boy Ibarra seeking revenge and still going emo over Maria Clara. He's so used to being emo that when he learned tha spoileralert!*Maria Clara died*spoileralert he couldn't go on with his murderous intentions. Almost blew up a house, but went all emo.

osmalic: And then in the end, Basilio realized: "Am I going to be an emo!kid like Ibarra now that Julie's dead?" -->during El Fili's epilogue, while Florentino is being noble and brave.

blue_cage Basilio and Crispin - brothers who did not have time to get incestuous because one gets killed soon after they were introduced.

Jose Rizal on Project Gutenberg. Both El Fili and Noli are translations by Charles Derbyshire. I think I have an extra copy of the translation by Leon Ma Guerrero, but what I want is a list of the quotations used in chapter headings. Anyone know where to find them?

holmesian Still hedging over what to write, but I did find out that doing an advanced search for "detective stories" in Project Guterberg yields works by Arthur Conan Doyle, Honoré de Balzac, and two books by Agatha Christie. The search results seem to include some horror mysteries as well, but I haven't checked it out. I'm going to download a couple of the Lock and Key Library, edited by Julian Hawthorne, to sample what he thinks were the best of the mysteries back in the days of yore. :D

The University of Adelaide e-text library has a list of books under the theme "crime". I've yet to look through the authors list and check if they missed mentioning something in their collection, but it links to a download of the complete Father Brown stories by G.K.Chesterton.

Mm. I think yeah, maybe they got turned off by the app voting period (yes, I'm reading that too! XD Help!) and yeah, there are so many RPs (PoT-only or multi-fandom) out there. It's so easy to over/under-play the character quirks.

Random bad ideas that popped out of nowhere: On the first day in camp Bianchi would greet everyone with her Poison Cooking I before using a few tentacles to develop more poisons, Agon will insult Hiruma turning gay, make crazy shit piecemeal of zombies before hitting on every girl on camp, or hahahahahahahahaha, Horio being Horio will brag about his two years tennis experience before being bitten by vampiric ducks and becoming Horio!zilla. *coughs* Oh God. *facepalms* Didn't say anything lalalalalallalalalala!

xDDD; I follow the ES21 cast, Angel Sanct cast, Tomo, and Chisame+Chizuru and PoT cast, normally. Thankfully, they overlap sometimes. Occasionally I follow the DGM cast. xD; And Gantz. Nishi~ Sometimes Bleach cast. Need to watch for Kodachi from Ranma more too. It does help that I know generally which posts they're likely to post in, though. And I play Atobe. xD;

Ooooh, well, I still think the app voting is a good idea. It gives the community a heads up on potential problems that might come from a certain character and flush that out before they get in (ie: Akito from Furuba, or someone like that). Also keeps out potential OOC people. I will never stop being glad I voted out the damn valley girl-esque!Mukahi app that showed up once. (What do you need help on? xD?) Yeaaaah, so most PoT RPers don't bother, 'cause they think it's too much trouble. xD;

Haha, oh god, I want a Bianchi so badly. xD; Agon would be weird in camp, since everyone from ES21 cast so far is pre-Christmas Bowl. We actually had a Horio briefly! :D Didn't stay long though. D: Idled out. But yeah, they were briefly considering Horiozilla... I can't remember if they actually went through with that? And the vampire ducks are awesome, and Niou got swallowed by one once. xD; And saw magical mushrooms, uh. 8Db But Niou's gone now. And Ishida's gone too, oh geez. T________T

So far I've traced some Hiruma with Katou lovin' (my eyes bugged out when I saw that!), a bit of Cabin 10 love, some Legal Drug action, a few dead people (oh, so people DO die! XD) and I think I found a really old post about the cfud sixth month anniversary with an Inui and Renji wandering about? I've also stopped by the wiki, and learned that girls top boys hands down, Rikuou has a zipper fetish, panty raids happen, and I should fear genderswitching viruses. O_o Does that sum up the experience? XD Ohohohohohoho, ore-sama! *bows*

Hm, I guess you do have a point, since it's so easy to stop being IC when tentacled monsters and people left and right can hit on you. O_O; Ugh. The idea of valley girl-esque!Mukahi should be shot! Yeah... I mean, characters develop through the RP (like Ari for example), but that's something that happens over time, and the base personality is still there. OOCness... isn't tolerated, yeah. And yeah, I kind of slammed the Mukahi down. ^^; I really need to stop being so harsh with PoT apps though; I have trouble giving the benefit of the doubt to people who would probably deserve it. It's particularly evil, since I've read both series and now I can't see them apart. Guh! XD I feel the gay love pheremones just coming out of that cabin, hey! I think they were drunk on beer, like, I think Inui was making out through dirty algorithm talk with Excel and well, it was pretty weird. XD Oh, yeah, it's a riot, and agh, people can bodyswitch too! Well, if you think aboutit, it's within your rights to slam them down, since you'll be interacting with them till the die permanently, escape, turn into a tentacle monster or quit, whichever happens first. I guess it's hard to get the nuances of the full character with the meager screentime most PoT character gets, and they (the apps) probably spent that time not paying attention and fangirling like crazy. (And yeah, apron-only!Sanada, the stuff of nightmares. I think the only possible explanation is he was in the bath, got attacked, grabbed the sword he always brings with him, defends himself, and then grabbed the first article of clothing he found before going down to kick some Hyotei ass. Uh. Oh God. *puts crack alert on that*)

I was (or still am) in PoT, HikaGo, Detective, Conan, Angel Sanct, Yami no Matsuei, D.Gray-man, Bleach, Tantei Gakuen Q, Naruto, FF 4 & 6, ES21, Yu-gi-oh!, HanaKimi, Juuni Kokki, Vagrant Story, and some more, I just can't recall, really. O_o I'm like a human sponge when it comes to detail, so I remember most of the characters in those. ^^;

Waai, if you have Lambo do you will infuse a level of crack with his ten year canon! Imagine what would happen if people get hit, nooooo~♥ Bianchi would be the new cook and people will die more quickly and stuff. XD (What? Oh, that explains that bit in the Ishida thread about those vampire ducks in his bed. I was wondering what he meant about those deaths!) *g* Well, the 10 year bazooka isn't likely to hit other people, since Lambo almost always aims it at himself. And anyways, I'd always wondered what would happen if you shot the bazooka at someone who would be dead within ten years, because you're supposed to switch places with your self ten years from the future. If nothing happened, or if you just disappeared for five minutes... that would be a really, really horrible premonition, seriously.

My friend's fault totally. She stops by with a bunch of anime or manga, leaves it in the comp until I look at it. Then I get hooked. She's done this trick on me for around a dozen times already, so yeah, twelve of my fandoms are because of her, totally. XD I like having friends like that.
